Question Keep running a SH file

Ok, so I am completely new to linux and such and I am hosting a garrysmod server using putty. There is a script I run called "startserver.sh" When I run it, it starts the server.. but the thing is, I want to keep my server running even when my computer is on sleep mode or even when I shut it down. Every time I put my computer to sleep, putty shuts down and the server goes down. Is there any way to keep the server running while my computer is on sleep mode or shutdown?? Please help! Yet again, I am EXTREMELY new to all this. I would appreciate step by step directions. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think you can achieve what you want using the "screen" or tmux program. There are examples on how to use both programs at How to keep processes running after ending ssh session? - Ask Ubuntu .
