    What is good to know about Publishing OpenSource?

    Do some one know where I can publish/put them on the Internet?
    What is the best place and what is important to know about pulishing opensource apps on warriors websites?
    Does licenses like GPL and other opensource "freeware" has limitations about who allowed to pulish them?
    Do I must have links to the owners websites?
    I could put some of them or all on my website, only with filemanes without any description or pictures. Am I allowed to do that? And what is about apps that are in RPM or DEB, I have a few of them without any source code and nearly zero info about them on the Internet.

    I hope you will help me with advices. Thank you for any help you can give!

    Tricky stuff. Most of the Open Source licenses allow you to publish as long as you follow the rules with regards to attribution. This site covers the 'official' Open Source agreements. Open Source Licenses | Open Source Initiative

    Look through any applicable ones to be sure you'll be legal. If in doubt I'd say don't.

    I can make massextract script for License,Copyright,README files and license types found in them. Is it any more files that may contain a license information that I missed?

    The Apache license mentions a "NOTICE" text file.

    Lightbulb Bash script for Recursive HTML creation

    Here is the first step. I made a script for auto creation index.html for an easy file browsing on the web.

    Code:
    #!/bin/bash

    # Begin Create an array
    # Count folders
    # NumberOfFolders=$(find  -type d -exec ls -d {} \; | wc -l)
    # Creating an array
      MyArray=($(find  * -type d -exec ls -d {} \;));
    # Show items from array
    # MyArray=($(find . -type d -exec ls -d {} \;));
    # Remmember starting folder
      StartDir=$(pwd);

    function CreateIndexHTML(){
    for fileToAdd in * ; do
    echo  '<br><a href="'$fileToAdd'">'$fileToAdd'</a><br><br>' >> index.html
    done;
    }
    ###list folders only## for f in *;do if [[ -d $f  ]]; then echo $f ;fi; done;

    function FolderBrowser(){

    count=0;
    while [ "x${MyArray[count]}" != "x" ]
    do
       	#entering a folder from the array
    cd $StartDir/${MyArray[$count]}
    echo $StartDir/${MyArray[$count]}
    	# begin to generate an index.html in this folder
    	# creating .. to go back the folder tree
    echo  '<br><a href="..">..</a><br><br>' > index.html
    	# adding rest of files into index.html
    CreateIndexHTML
    	# removing index.html line from itself
    sed -i "/index.html/d" index.html
    	# end of index.html generation
    	# preparing a move to the next item in array
    count=$(( $count + 1 ))
    		done;
    }

    WindowMaker has its own Debian build now and I wrote more about dockapps on the Debian forum. You can find my nickname there with "A big list of WindowMaker DockApps".

    This thread is solved now and thanks for your help.
