    Linux music player to stream from folder mp3


    Hello,

    on http:// there is a folder with mp3s and it has subdirectories.

    Can i anyhow simply imput root folder path into some linux player and it will stream/play whole directory structure?

    example path: http://195[*remove*].122.253.112/public/mp3/

    i have mplayer, but /mplayer path/ dont play anything

    my os is Debian 3.x with aptitude, synaptic

    Hello postcd. I'm not sure if it will let you browse into a network folder, but cmus is a nifty command line music player.

    OFFTOPIC: It is my favourite. =P

    It is, one can run: cmus
    then :add /folder/to/music

    and use enter or keys to play (its a visual music library interface)

    but cmus appear NOT to stream any music which is not saved on local harddrive.
