    Anything like Europe's FaxBox in the U.S.?

    FaxBox allows FAX by email. AFA my original question goes, there probably is . . . but any recommendations for a small business/individual service such as this?

    This was present back in 1980's on unix machines. It's good to hear that is is still in use in some part of the world. At least I believe that you are looking for the use of a fax machine that is local to the fax number that allows sending local faxes via an email address. In the US companies are attempting (or have succeded) in replacing the old free method with a "subscription based" that costs money.
