a linux emulator for windows?
i have heard the the virtual grapevine that you canget a linux emulator for windows (LINE i think) but no matter how much i searchi can't find any info on it, does anyoneknow where i will find it? (i need it to try to run some daemons for my 2x16 status lcd)

The name of that program would be Cygwin. There are a couple of others, too.. and M$ actually offers Unix Tools for Windows (check http://www.microsoft.com for more info on that).
Their code will be beautiful, even if their desks are buried in 3 feet of crap. - esr

At my work some people use Virtual PC.
Why not use removable HDs?
I have 2.. one with Windows XP(tuned by me) and other with Slack 10.
I use mostly Slack... because I'm sick of Windows suXP.
