    Lexmark z25 under Mandrake Linux 9.1

    I salute everybody...

    I have a lexmark z25 printer under Mandrake Linux 9.1, but it doesn't print. I've already downloaded the drivers from Lexmark's site but it still doesn't work...

    Please help me...

    I normally use www.linuxprinting.org for my printing requirements, it has a lot of information on it.

    Unfortunatly, the site is increadably slow at the moment, making it practically un-usable.

    Its normally ok, lets hope it is a short term thing.

    Well man, looks like you share the same problem with me, except that I have installed Mandrake 10.0 in my PC.

    I just came to understand what to do some hours ago. Perhaps it works in your case. Who knows.

    Here is the list to do:

    1.- Start KDE(BEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!)
    2.- Look for kprintmanager(the printer manager in KDE)
    3.= Install the Lexmark Z35 CUPS drivers(REQUIRED)
    4.= In the Printer Properties page you can set up the controller you want. Change it. Select LEX...PPD.GZ, which should be in /usr/share/cups.
    5.= Apply. Thats it.

    Problems...
