    Things that gave linux a hard time.


    Greetings there,

    i was wondering of issues/prob that gave linux not so good time and/or made it not easy to adopt, depends on newbie->pro..

    1)fedora hdd geometry bug

    2)winmodems, though an external issue....

    any honest takers?

    winmodems can be a bugger sometimes, but there is a lot of documentation out there - I think any operating system will have some level of difficulty if you are just trying to adopt it. If you are tying to change os there will be a learning curve no matter what.
    Going from Linux at home to M$ at work, I am struggling with Permissions, security, and above all else Active Directory policys.
    Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.
