    Linux On Floppy


    is the linux distro that can be installed from floppy disks? Also what distros of linux are live cds?

    There are some floppy based linux distro's, IIRc there is one called somthing like blue linux(?) also I think that there are a few slackware distros on floppies.

    As for live cd's, a list off the top of my head:
    knoppix
    slax
    Simply Mepis
    mandrake move
    gnoppix

    Well thanks, but do you know of any that are small and don't take up a lot of space and will run decent on a old computer?

    I assume you're refering to the live CDs? This article on live CDs might help you out. It depends what you define as "old" but the article tests a computer with a PII and 128MB of RAM.
