when i try to uninsall winex i use rpm -e and after everything it tries it says that permissions is denied...

you will need to be root. use "su" to get into root.

when i do that it asks for a password but it doesnt allow me to type anyhting in

when it asks for your password, it does not echo what you type back to the screen. Security reasons. Just type the password and hit enter.
