surprisely linux give this error when it tries to start X..

Symbol __glXActive Screens from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modeules/extensions/libdri.a is unresolved

    Fatal server error:

i think it is related about xfs.it starts up normally at the beginning but when the machine is shutting down it says
    xfs failed

    any help?

    an extra question:

When you get a clean terminal, log in as root and run "service xfs restart", then check your log files for any errors.

Yes I do. That's why you should attempt to restart it and then look at what errors it gives.

Reinstalling xfs shouldn't be necessary. It's very improbable that an executable has gotten corrupted or anything. I think that the libdri problem can be deferred; I don't think that it's fatal.

I have no idea, really. I guess that's what happens sooner or later with proprietary software. Try using the extract only option and compile the driver by hand. I can't really give you advice on how, though, since I didn't have to.

    Ok.
    I solve my problem.
I tried everything about xfs and its configuration but surprisingly the main problem was not xfs itself. The problem was my harddisk capacity

There was no free space even -5 MB- so xfs couldnt be run. xfs needs 50 MB free space on hdd. interesting .i delete some of my files so now there is no problem.

    thx everyone who cares..
