How to find what is changing ownership of .ICEauthority
having a little bit of bother with my FC3 PC at the moment. Something is changing the ownership of my .ICEauthority in my home dirtectory. This of course causes me problems when logging onto Gnome (I have to either chown or chmod it to give myself access to it again).
It keeps reverting to this :-
-rw------- 1 root root 6299 May 2 19:51 .ICEauthority
Anybody know of a way of finding out what is changing the ownership of this file?
thanks

Use Suse 10.1 and occasionally play with Kubuntu
Also have Windows 98SE and BeOS

looks like this caused by using sudo to run programs that were written to run under KDE, while not being in KDE (I, for example, used to run kppp under Gnome and/or xfce , and used sudo to run it).
