    Yeah I know what you mean. After 2 weeks of messing with it I finally fixed all the problems I was having with the install and just the other day finished replacing Mandrake with it. So far I'm loving it, emerge is the greatest thing ever! I screwed up and didn't make a big enough root partition and had to copy all the directories over to a backup partition and back and that caused me to only be able to log in Gnome as root but that was my fault not Gentoo's. I'm going to be upgrading my system drastically in the not to distant future so I'll probably do a total re-install then, but for now I'll just stick to being logged on as root all the time. Hopefully I wont accidently delete my kernel So yeah Gentoo's great, stick with it. I learned a lot about linux from installing it and it's worth all the BS in the end...

    I have used linux many years but when i installed Gentoo ivé learned alot, yes it took a a couple of hours to get it up and 2days to compile all KDE packets...bit now its just so SUPER great.

    Gentoo and emerge rules for the moment i think
