sound configuration RH9
Is there a text based interface i can go to to configure my sound card in red hat 9.
I remeber installing college linux and seeing something like that where is allowed be to manually pick my soundcard.
Is there a default way of configuring a sound card for most or all linux distros, much like xf86config??

Many distros come with sndconfig, which is an ncurses-based sound card configuration utility. However, you should learn to configure it manually instead, by setting the correct module aliases in /etc/modules.conf and so.
