64mb ram
2x3gb hdd (1 for Win98, 1 for Linux)

whats Vecorlinux 4.3 like?

I think it would run fine, I have installed slackware 10.0 with KDE on a lappy with a p2 200MHz and 63 MB RAM for my sister to play around with, and that actually worked pretty good except that you have to wait some seconds more for applications to start, but... If I were you I would give it a try.
