I am trying to set up cygwin to run the gnome desktop per the following link:

http://cygnome2.sourceforge.net/

I thought I had done it right and then after doing startx and then gnome-session I got the following:

$ gnome-session
Failed to run gconf-sanity-check-2: Failed to execute child process "/opt/gnome2/libexec/gconf-sanity-check-2" (No such file or directory)
_IceTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root
Anyone have any clues. Maybe I need the sanity check. Anyone even try using cygwin-gnome?
