ok, I've tried what was mentioned above, but I still can't get it to work correctly. So, I've moved on to trying to atleast get the 2 comps to communicate with each other in a network. I've set up a Samba Server and the Xp box recognizes it, but it can't access my linuxbox. It's the same thing on my end with linux, it sees the XP box, but it can't access any of the files... Any ideas of why this is happening?

I am not to sure what you are getting at, but try the following links they should help resolve your problem:-
    www.connect.ab.ca/~mward/linsambo1.html
    www.tldp.org/LDP/solrhe/
    http://www.unixgeeks.org/security/ne...sc/ipmasq.html
also the RedHat site explains how to use samba with winnt 4 & win 2k (Assume these are same as xp ?)
