Enlightenment is cool. Very configurable and can look really fancy if you take the time. I have it on my FreeBSD machine.

I did try it on both gentoo and freebsd, really nice but unfortunatly if you use "blast" to blow holes in the windows, the shadow-module gets messed up (read: squary, non-smooth shadows in the corners)... But anyway, cool stuff, but I'm still using fluxbox for a while thought.

I use Enlightenmet in my Slack 10.0... is more better than KDE and GNOME (both of them are to heavyweight for my machine)... and more complete than Window Maker, Fluxbox and Blackbox

I'd hope so considering E17 is still Alpha.

Enlightment's latest project. Known as DR17 as well. Depends on the site you read.

i'd recommend giving it a try...you don't have to lose gnome/kde to use it, you can choose which to use on login
