Well I got rid of Windows, and reinstalled Linux again
Windows XP, while pretty and fairly stable for a windows OS, didn't seem to have the same appeal it used to before I got linux. The only problem I have with linux is, my webcam doesn't work in it.(It's some GE Easycam or something. About 15 bucks and it does its job well)

Yes, and USB support is compiled in my kernel.

Plug it in, and then please post the output of "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices". Also, what model is this more exactly? Would it be possible for you to check what chipset it uses?

Try the ov511 driver, I think that's appropriate for that camera, after checking chipset information on the internet. Modprobe for it, and then check what's in /proc/bus/usb/devices again.

It tells me "Command not found" when I try to modprobe it.

You need to do it as root. Change with "su -", not with "su". If you change to root with just "su", it will not update your PATH, so you will need to run "/sbin/modprobe ov511" in that case.
