Hey, I know this is a long shot, but I figured if it has been done, someone here has done it... here's the thing.

I have the Motorola DCT6412 DVR (through Comcast), which records analog, DTV, and HDTV on its hard drive.

I have a solution (klugey, but it works), to capture the stream and change channels through the firewire port, but only in Win XP.

I had heard that MythTV has some support for firewire HD capture in the newer builds, but I'm not looking to run a complete DVR solution on the PC, as I already have a perfectly good standalone model.

Anyway, that seems to be the only reason I'm booting into XP these days, and I'm frankly getting tired of it, so I was hoping someone knows of a linux solution.
