hard disk details
hi all,
I connected a 40 gb ide harddisk to my system with redhat Linux using USB . The harddisk has been detected as scsi device and it shows as sda , when i do fdisk -l it display the partitions and size...
My problem is i want to know the details of harddisk like the hard disk make its serial number. If it has been connected using ide cable i can get the hard disk make from proc directory.. its serial number using hdparm. now as i am connecting using usb i cant get it... how can i get these details
plz help
