a Linux distro that has anti-aliasing fonts disabled by default?

I'm just curious, but does anyone know of a Linux distro that has anti-aliasing fonts disabled by default, and 96 DPI as the default DPI?

I think Kubuntu has anti-aliasing turned off - although that might just be the PPC version...

Older distros didn't have AA enabled by default. I'm curious why that's an issue, old hardware?
