    references for device drivers

    I m new to linux. I m now only familiar with the OS. But i want to start with kernel programming and device driver writing . Please suggest the best way to start off

    You might want to read something like 'Linux Device Drivers' which is reviewed here. And it seem that you can download the book from O'Reilly.

    I already have come across this book - Linux Device Drivers by Alssandro Rubini
    And another Kernel Internals .
    It would b helpful if only u could give some basic reference in the form of web sites or books
