    You might want to read something like 'Linux Device Drivers' which is reviewed here. And it seem that you can download the book from O'Reilly.

    I already have come across this book - Linux Device Drivers by Alssandro Rubini
    And another Kernel Internals .
    It would b helpful if only u could give some basic reference in the form of web sites or books
