real player plugin in mozilla
hello all
i have RH9
i use the default mozilla browser that came with the installation meaning 1.2.1
i installed real player 8
and i have in
/usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/plugins
these files
raclass.zip and rpnp.so
i have also plugger 4( i don't know if this should help)
when i go to amazon.com and search for a CD and try the music samples
it always says that i have no plugin for
audio/x-pn-realaudio mime type
i tried to make a new mime type in the preferences in mozilla this way
mime type audio/x-pn-realaudio
handled by application (i tried both rpnp.so and realplay --i don't know if these are the write files to linki to) from the realplayer8 folder
(/usr/lib/RealPlayer
but still when i try to listen to realplayer audio from amazon it tells me that i have no plugin
for audio/x-pn-realaudio mime type
can someone help me please
thanks

Check in Help->About Plugins that the RealPlayer plugin has been registered correctly.

It seems that the realplayer plugin made a booboo. It seems that it registered the MIME type audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin while it should be without the last -plugin, right? You could probably change that in the source code, but, hey, RealPlayer is proprietary, isn't it? Oh, how I love proprietary stuff.
