    Freeware at Tucows

The freeware in the Linux section at tucows (sometimes) has choices: SH3, X11, and Console. What do these mean? I'm not sure which one I want, although I'm guessing X11 since that seems to be by far the most common.

X11 means it's a gui app (it has a graphical user interface), console means just that: it is made for the console (or terminal, whichever you prefer ).

Might I ask what distro you're using? Because you will usually be able to get most programs from your distro's package manager.
