TCP connections hang.
I have a Compaq DL380 running RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 and Oracle 9iAS. It's been up and running fine for almost a year and the only thing that has changed was another admin installed Nagios monitoring agents/plugins about a month ago. Starting this past Monday, all TCP connections hang for about 15 to 20 seconds at roughly 10 minute intervals. In other words, about every 10 minutes all tcp connections hang for about 15 to 20 seconds, then free up. I don't see anything unusual in any of the logs. Sar shows nothing unusual; CPU, swapping, I/O, & NIC are fine. Netstat -a shows nothing unusual. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Have you done anything with your internal network DNS,DHCP?? Can you do ping, nslookup and reverse nslookup without delays??
Also verify that you nic runs in 100Mb full duplex.Regards
