I want to get a mouse for the laptop to use when occasionaly. Is it possible to set X to allow the touch pad to function and a usb mouse to function when it is pluged in.
All i want for christmas is a new liver....a second chance to get afflicted with Cirrhosis

When i plug in my mouse to either USB or PS/2 my mouse, Touchpad, and That annoying little eraser head all work. I've tried it in Ubuntu, Suse 9.3, Mandrake 10.0, Mepis, and Fedora
Desktop: Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz 1.5 GB RAM Ubuntu/XP Pro
Laptop: Macbook 2 GHz C2Duo 3 GB RAM OS X/ Ubuntu/ XP Pro

It should work, even openbsd likes my memory stick
