Just wondering if anyone knew what to do if you have the 64bit version of linux fedora nad its failing the system fike chk?

If that's checking the disc images, it is almost certainly because the disc checker is too pernickity about burned media. Just install it and, if anything goes wrong, tell us and we'll tell you if it's the media or not.
