I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here. Let me explain what I'd like to do. I want to be able to compile programs but I want to specify target processor (I know how to do that using export CC="gcc -mcpu=i386", but is there any other ways) and also the libraries it should use. Now, I'm pretty new to the whole compiling from source thing, but I've successfully built a pocket linux (great exercise) from the "Pocket Linux Guide" at LDP. So I'm not completely useless. Now what I'd like to be able to do is build busybox with the uClibc library so that I can try to get everything into one disk. I'd like something that I'd be able to read, preferrably a guide or something to that effect.
I've tried using the buildroot toolchain, but after 3 tries I gave up trying to make it work. I thought I should try something different and see if that worked.
