Plugin question

Hi folks,

BLFS 6.1
Firefox

Clicking the link on browser the Flash Player was automatically installed. At finish it popup;

Firefox finished installing the missing plugin
Macromedia Flash Player installed.

However the plugin still not installed. Please advise. TIA

Does it come up with any errors at all?


Or just that little symbol when it isnt installed?


Have you restarted firefox?

Hi onlinebacon,

On FC3, the host, I installed Flash Player manually by downloading its tarball and following its instruction, browser also Firefox. However the same instruction/steps did not work on BLFS 6.1. Besides on BLFS 6.1 I can click the download link getting Flash Player installed automatically with the notice posted on my 1st posting displayed (this method did not work on FC3. Must install Flash Player manually). I can't figure out whether a symbolic link will get it work and where should be the link.

No error message displayed on both methods. Tks
