    feroda 4 VS suse 10


    which one is better for a

    desktop user who likes to use the net IM MSN, music videos and games(i know that games are not good with linux but i can see the future they will be soon as soon as Win Vista is out)

    for a bigginer suse, i havnt used fedora sense 3 , and fedora 3 was a joke

    yeah it's suse, fedora is really kind of beta, this can be good when talking about packages but it's usually a bad sign just because they haven't worked all the bugs out yet and if they do work out the bugs in fedora then we won't see it in another fedora release, they just put it into the redhat enterprise linux code, then the new release is just more beta testing. remember, the only purpose of fedora is to make their commercial product better (redhat enterprise linux, though i'd rather go with centos). they don't need to spend lots of time on it because it's just testing. suse is final and they actually put real work into it. and i don't like fedora at all, for all those cds i had to download it had almost no packages compared to suse, and my modem refused to work too. this is unacceptable for new users. i actually had it working for about three weeks, but it's weird, it just sort of broke randomly and i can't get it working again. (not that i was really surprised)
