For Pausing and restarting the processes I am using SIGCONT and SIGSTOP. For sometimes it is working for sometimes it is not working. How to solve this problem.? Please help ...

For Pausing and restarting the processes I am using SIGCONT and SIGSTOP.

For sometimes it is working for sometimes it is not working.

How to solve this problem.? Please help me regarding this.

I am using Redhat linux 7.3 with linux kernl 2.4.18-3.
