Trying to FIx a WIndows/Mac formatted DVD RAM......
Hello. I'm just wondering how I would fix a DVD RAM that had been a Mac Volume, and had been formatted for a second and a half by a WIndows machine. A DVD RAM is like a rewritable DVD. My buddy has a LInux box and would be able to help if he knew how. Any suggestions as to what I could do to restore the Mac Volume? A sector view of the code on the disc shows that sectors 1500-the end all have valid code, as far as I know. But Sectors 1-1300 are all blanked out by 00000000, and then from like 1300-1500 it's all FFFFFFFFFFFFF repeated.
I know that Linux can read both formats. Any programs, or commands I could tell him to use? Preferably freeware, if that exists on this platform. ANy info would be greatly appreciated.
