    Question Kubuntu install CD

    hello all,

    I downloaded kubuntu install CD and installed in my P IV system. It is functioning very well. But i want to install some softwares. for that i need unix environment. but i didnt find any terminal window!?. Is it possible to have both gui and command environment in kubuntu?

    Welcome to the forums.

    Maybe the KDE's terminal (Konsole) isn't showing up in your KDE menu for some reason, but KDE definitely offers some command line tools. You should have access to xterm and maybe other terminals, depending on what all comes with Kubuntu.

    If nothing else, boot into another run level and run your commands from there.
