    Lsd

    I'm a genius

    LSD (Linux Software Distribution)

    includes:

    the latest 2.2, 2.4, and 2.6 kernels
    Grub bootloader
    Lilo Bootloader
    Base GNU Utilities

thats it. the package management system is called "tarballs" which you download, extract to /usr/src and compile by hand.

    how nifty
I'd be proud to run LSD

How is this a unique distro? It sounds very bare bones and lacking any "zest" (couldn't really think of a better word). What would make another user want this over another distro?

I agree with Bryansmith... Everyone can take (or build) a bare system and compile software .

more of a joke thread than anything else, but I had to shoot the idea off.
