Hi there

Hi,
Why can't you configure the kernel in redhat 9?
All you need to do is download the kernel source (which I believe is available using up2date).
Once you have the source, you can configure and compile till your little heart is content.
I would not suggest taking the route you suggested with mandrake.

Could be alot of your probs, then. Have you tried a non-distro specific kernel from kernel.org?
