About expert mode on fdisk
Hi folks,
Something strange happened here.
I tried to partition a pendrive with fdisk using expert mode to change the geometry
After deleting all partitions then typed;
Command (m for help): x [Enter]
x: unknown command
Command action
a toggle a bootable flag
b edit bsd disklabel
c .... etc.
However this command worked for me about one week ago. The only difference was then running on FC3 and now running on DSL.
Please advise. TIA
B.R.

Are you sure that DSL doesn't have shrinked version of fdisk? Distros like DSL tend to modify their packages to achieve lower hard disk usage.

Hi kavalakala,
Tks for your advice.
DSL keeps most packages minimal. I used cfdisk instead.
