mandrake freezes and then wont start
alright, i am using Mandrake 9.2 KDE. Three times now i have been using it and then everything freezes. I cant move my mouse and keyboard commands dont work. This forces me to manually shut off the power to my computer and then start it back up. However, when i start it Linux wont load. The bootloader comes up, but no login screen or anything. I read somewhere where they said to disable plug and play in my BIOS, but there is no option to do this. someone help...

look for a bios option called "plug and play OS" or something simialr. turn this off.

there is no option like this in my bios

canu be more specific when it dies, doe sit let u select somethign in the bootloader, then what happens, does it say kernel panic, can u load windows (if installed)
