Bootable Virus scan
My sister was using the XP laptop, and she kept on ignoring virus attacks, so it now has a virus, wont start etc.
Is there a distro of linux that will be a Live-CD and scan the HD for viruses and show the viruses and allow them to be deleted? (remember the compy is windows XP)
PS I know i should switch OSs, but that's not possible at this time.
thank you

You should check out the systemrescue cd.
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?dis...n=systemrescue
Once you boot up with the cd, type "links", and you will see directions for getting the ntfs module that will allow you to fix your corrupted system. How to know if you are a geek.
when you respond to "get a life!" with "what's the URL?"
