    Hi Linuxforums

Im currently working on a large schoolproject about Open Source with an objective view..

My problem is that i want to compare minimum requirements of different systems and compare these. I can find for Microsoft Windows XP, but I cant seem to find any minimum requirements for a linux distro running X...

I hope you can help me

    Thanks in advance

Most Linux distributions offer something like a "minimum requirements" writeup on their main page. Here are a few:

    Xandros Requirements
    Fedora Core 5 Requirements
    Debian Sarge Requirements

If you really want, you can install Linux on a 386-DX40 with 8 MB Ram. You can even let it run completely from floppy drives or a full fledged GUI distro like DSL from an usb-stick. Almost anything is possible, thus it is hard to say "this are the minimum system requirements".
