Is it 5.5 characters on the left of all lines, or just 5.5 characters off the first line?

It happens on all lines all pages
and it is only happening using kwrite and kate and other editors~Mike ~~~ Forum Rules

It's probably a margin problem, in that case. Make sure that you're using the right paper size (ie. A4 or Letter).

ok i figured out a mickeymouse fix: i simply selected all then indented the whole file it worked for just getting it printed .
