I'm looking for programs that you guys could not live without. Preferrably esoteric ones, not things along the lines of gcc, bash etc. I want things that are a little off the beaten track, yet are incredibly usefull.

j/k
I can't think of much other than an editor (nano, mc), pop mail prog (evolution), IRC client (irssi), and network tools (nmap, netstat, ettercap). That's about all I HAVE to have. Oh...and a browser (Firebird, links)."Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so."
