Linux Distro..!!
I was looking for a Distro...a minimal Distro...That contain all the
- GCC, GC++, GDB, GPROF, QT, GTK and Programming/Debuggin stuff
- A Web Browser - preferably FireFox
- A Chat Client - GAIM
- GNOME or KDE or a better GUI using minimal memory
That's it, actually I want to run this DISTRO in VMWare.
I wanted to program while stay connected to internet ..using Firefox and chatting wid my friends online using GAIM.
I know there are lot of options like DSL and more...but I don't like the DSL as it doesn't contain FireFox and GAIM... and the UI is also not good.!!
please suggest me some options...!!

You could use Slax and add modules as you need them. Most of the requirements you have are already met by the base release.

It's a livecd when you get it, hence the need for unionfs. It replaced ovlfs. Once you are running it though you can do a full install and it's basically a custom slackware install.

you can also try VectorLinux, Zenwalk and maybe Xubunto
