Kazaalite or Filesharing Software under linux

hey

can any one give me a guide on how to install kazaalite on linux http://www.kazaalite.tk i have tried guides on the wine forum but i unfrotuantely cant get it to work, is there any other file sharing software similar to kazaalitefor linux?

any info would be appreciated

What is the error you get when you try to install kazaa with wine?

i finnaly got kazaa to install i just cant find the kazaa exe to run it now lol sorry i am a newbie i have tried find.. but to no avail..

Where wine installs it generally depends on which version of wine you are using, or if your using wineX. If I remember correctly, it places a link to the fake c drive in your user home directory. Otherwise, just run a search using *wine*

Open up ~/.wine/config and look where your c drive is pointing to. On my box, I have it set to ~/.wine/fake_windows/

I got Kazaalite to work under red hat 8.0, but haven't been able to get it to work under 7.3 yet (although I heavily prefer 7.3 over 8.0)

You need to have the right dll files and they must come from a win 98/95 machine. I have those two files as zips if anyone wants them. You will have to PM me though, since I don't come to this forum very often.
