Hi,

I have been tying to work out a way of cloning a Suse 10.1 system I have built up. I want to be able to put it onto different hardware and have the new system have all the same files, permissions and installed packages so that it seems exactly the same but is on a different box. I want this to be automated as I intend to roll out it out onto 5+ old desktops which may vary in hardware.

Ideally I’ll be able to configure the hardware differently (different slice sizes, numbers of hard drives, PCMCIA adapters etc) but the running system will all be configured the same.

Can anyone help out or point me in the direction of how I would go about doing this?
