    uninstall grub??

    how do you uninstall grub? I am wanting to uninstall grub and ubuntu but leave xp alone as if its a xp only pc

    Boot your Windows XP disc. Before you actually start the install, you will see the option to push r to get to a recovery console. Push r and you will be dropped to a recovery console. While here, type fixmbr. Presto!

    the thing is.... my pc didn't come w/ a XP disc....

    try Windows 98 bootable floppy.
    boot up from bootable floppy and execute
    A:\> fdisk /mbr
    download Windows 98 bootable floppy from

    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    oh wow....i feel soo noobish!!!

    $ -sudo apt get /help me plz/
    my pc is one of those new ones that doesn't come with a floppy drive or a boot CD......i'm doomed!!!!!!
