Nah, it's easier, and cheaper than that! I had a similar problem and fixed it by configuring my router correctly! Windows, by default opens ports on the router automatically, while Linux doesn't, so you just have to into your router and forward some ports. Usually, Bittorent uses ports 6881-6889. If you're not behind a home router, than I'm not sure!

Also, another thing to remember is that your particular speeds will be directly related to the swarm that is involved with your particular download. I range anywhere from 9 to as much as 860 down. It all depends on the swarm and time of day. But the router issue is definently something to look into for port forwarding if you have one.

I currently use windows on a public PC. I dont have linux yet, I was hoping what I would do in windows would be the same in linux!
