problems with the terminal in KDE
I have installed kde 3.2.1 in gentoo with kernel 2.6.4. When I try to edit some file like fstab or lilo.conf as root appears a message that I can't do it because I need to be as root but I open the file as root.}
Another interesting note is that when I run a terminal appear:
bash2-x: instead of name@nameroot:
where name is the name of my nick and nameroot the name as root in my computer---
what can I do?

not sure about ur roto access probelm, mayeb check ur permissions are nor r--r--r-- ???
the terminal prompt is a variable called PS1 (i think) u can either set it in .bashrc or manaully by typing $PS1 = [%u@%w]$
(i think thats how the syntax for it works, i cant remember right now)
