second hand hard drives
Hi everyone
over the past few weeks i've been thinking about installing a slave dive
on my ageing grey box and i wondered what implications (if any )this would have on security if i bought a second hand harddrive. I mean that, i know there are no worms or trojans that infect both linux and windows but say i installed a
s h hardrive from one windows machine to another, or one linux machine to another, could i infect my current machine?
thanx to anyone with time to answear

If you repartition the HD or format it, theres not much chance of anything surviving and for what it's worth, there is very few (less than 5 I think) Virus that will affect a Linux/Unix machine.
I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
