    Just changed from RH9 to Suse9.

    just wanted to know if there was a command like the "service start/stop" command like in RH.

    Is it possible to make my VIM editor color coded like in RH?

    in suse it is different, but there is a command. it's usually of the form
    Code:
    rc<program> start/stop
    for example to restart apache is

    Code:
    rcapache restart
    or to start mysql

    Code:
    rcmysql start
