    Help!!!

    I've not heard much about linux before.

    I've just got that pi$$ed off with Microsoft charging me stupid money that i decided i'd give it a shot.

    Whats the best software to go for?
    Do you have any problems in running other software within it (esp Champ Manager - Football Manager and burning cds/dvds)
    Does your computer tend to run slower on linux
    And (im such a tightwad!!!) is there anywhere i can get a free cd?!?!

    Linux has all the packages that Windows has, even more than that. check here !

    it depends on which Linux Distribution you have installed in your machine. there are thousands of Linux distros. choose one that is suitable for your machine. check first link.
